Those cockroaches have been imported by our American friends. Native Aussie cockroaches are quite small, can't fly, prefer to stay outside the house, and don't bark like evil little dogs, unlike those monstrous American roaches... *shudder*

Only when it's true, Dildo, only when it's true. The cockroaches were imported when the US set up camp in Pine Gap, a US military base in the centre of Australia, not far from Alice Springs. While moving stuff over to Oz, they imported a pile of those monstrous roaches. Somehow, probably due to truck freight, those roaches spread to Sydney.
