The thing is, the film, without all it's Satanic nonsense, is supposed to be how these kids aren't very close to their dad, then this magic fairy woman comes and helps them appreciate him and vice versa, and in the end, they all go flying kites.
however, for the kids watching the film, they just wish they weren't stuck with their Bus Driver dads who can only afford to get them a couple of toys, they want a magic woman and lots of trips to the park and stuff.
it's not a very good message.
Also, thinking about Bert the fraud. He worked several jobs, but was also the head of the bank, who "dies" near the end, although Bert is still alive, so... did he fake his own death as part of some big insurance scam?
it's full of sex and corruption!
well, maybe not so much sex.
