Okay, here goes my thoughts:
Early Batman comics - Original, intelligent, and overall a good series.
Mid Series Batman comics - As with most mid-series comics, it tended to get sucky and contrived.
Late(now) Series Batman comics - Aesthetically pleasing, but running out of ideas quickly.
Batman Live-Action show - Sucks ass like a $20 hooker.
Early Animated Batman - Not as shitty as Adam West, but not great.
Batman/Batman&Robin - Decent, and a good costume for Batman, but still not as impressive as it could be.
The New Batman (Futuristic with a new guy as Batman, and Bruce Wayne as a codger) - Some episodes are brilliant. True to some of Batman's ideals. All gadgets and physical skills. Though where the kid learned his moves, I don't know.
Batman Movies - GREAT in the beginning, sucktacular later on. A new take on Batman with far less physical ability (likely due to the lack of it being a comic/cartoon). More true to comic form that X-Men, but less entertaining. All the batman costumes/vehicles in these movies were aesthetically cool. Robin is another story.

There you go. My unwanted opinion.

The Beatles made some good songs, some not so good. I love "Helter Skelter".

If anything, Batman is a better hero than SuperMan. Superman is never in any real danger unless there is kryptonite. As where Batman is driven by loss, pain, and suffering. Superman does it because he can never really die. Despite all the movies, batman doesnt have a bulletproof costume either. Plus you would be saying Batman sucks if you read Jeph Loeb's New Batman series, Its one of the best thing I've ever read.

P.S. Batman could kill Superman if he wanted to because Superman gave him a Kryptonite ring that was once worn by Lex Luthor. If Superman got near Batman his powers would weaken and if hit by the ring he could possibly lose all powers and become human for a short period of time. I wonder why nobody ever tryed to invent Krypto-Bullets?

That series' fatal flaw was killing off Lex Luthor at the end of the first series, and going on for another four without ever really replacing him.

A few points.

1) In the 60's, the Batman TV series ran twice a week, so it never took Batman a full week to get out of a jam -- until the third season when the show was cut back to once a week, but then they cut down on the cliffhanger endings, too.

2) The series did not suck. It may not have been what you wanted in a Batman series, but it was awesome in its own way.

3) Commissioner Gordon: "You know I'm violently opposed to police brutality!"

4) Chief O'Hara: "When it comes to the human mind, we're not equipped!"

5) The Batman TV series is responsible for the modern characters of the Riddler and Batgirl, a.k.a. Barbara Gordon, and is responsible for the name, Mr. Freeze. Before the TV series, he was known as Mr. Zero.

6) The 60's series had the best Alfred ever! He could disguise himself, he dressed up as Batman when both Bruce Wayne and Batman needed to be somewhere, he had a twin cousin, and he had his own vehicle -- the Alfred Cycle!

7) If you don't like the 60's Batman TV series, U R TEH SUCK!
