That suggests that something I posted in the past was original. I resent that remark!

Kaufman's worst strips are better than most people's best strips. He is entitled to run out of ideas occasionally, because he gets new ideas on a frequent basis, and they're of a higher quality than even mine.

I loves me some kaufman, boy howdy.

True, I just hadn't seen many comics or posting ideas today, and felt like a fun piece of fluff (which evolved from an equally fluffy piece involving Gabe1 holding back the blackness that just wasn't working, so I replaced the blackness with the blur yaddayaddayadda).

Anyway, my next Whose Line tribute will be "Scenes from a Cat."

I await it with baited breath (ill get some Tic Tacs)

And it was just bad timing . I was watching a video from some years back of one of the original Whose Line series , with Tony Slattery , Mike McShane , John Sessions and Josie Lawrence , and Tony Slattery did that EXACT sketch.

Which was scary.

It was Tony? That was scary. I still have his Babewatch impression etched on my brain.

Could be worse; could have been Colin :-)

Hmmm. TBH , Colin Mochrie never really managed to make me spit (insert drink of your choice) all over the TV screen before. Slattery , Lawrence , Stiles and Proops managed it often ,and Sessions managed it every time he got up from his stool.

That said , he does play the best "Neurotic" characters.

The thing is, he's just got so utterly no rhythm, he knows it, and just goes with the flow, often with hilarious results. I think he's really come into his own in the US version of the show. If you ever see the "Captain Hair" episode, you may find yourself spitting whatever.

That said, I find no fault with the four names you mentioned.

Ive said time and again , it was the greatest loss to television EVER when John Sessions went back to doing Shakespeare and being a Luvvie on stage instead of on screen.

And while i will look out for the version you mention , i will point out that , no matter how good Mochries performance is , odds are it will be negated by Drew Carey being the host , and him being probably the one american TV "personality" i detest above all others.

Probably because the girlfriend thinks hes so fantastic , and i cant see any talent at all.

Oh , and he ruined the Royal Rumble last year.

I have seen 3 episodes of the US version , and neither of those two comedians featured in it. I consider myself very fortunate

I'm talking about the British version. Stephen Frost was one of the regulars, and George Wendt (Norm from Cheers) appeared twice in a row, only because they were taped on the same day.

If those are from the last two series , i havent watched them. Whose Line pretty much stopped being funny when the people who made the show went and did their own thing , or went back to the states to do sitcoms , or whose line.

Even Tony Slattery doesnt do it anymore. And he cant get a job anywhere else.

And Wendt is unfortunate in that , his only character is a fat guy who sits in a bar making quips from a script he doesnt even write. Hes hopeless at improv.

Before George Wendt was "Norm" he was a comedy writer and a performer with the famed Second City improv comedy troupe. If he isn't good at it now, maybe it's just because he is out of practice. From what I have read about improv performers, improvisation is a difficult skill that requires a lot of practice before one can get any good at it. I suspect it also takes regular practice to stay good at it, too.

Agreed. Doing improv itself is easy. Doing improv and being FUNNY is a whole different matter.

always have a few ideas in the back of the head to use before you start , and twist the concepts given around so you can fit them in.

Basically , do what we do here with strips , but without having time to refine the joke.

Cool, where's the new art?

Both George Wendt and Shelley Long were part of Chicago's Second City. I did see George Wendt on Whose Line and he wasn't anything to write home about. But I'm guessing he was out of practice as wirthling said.

I can't even picture Shelley Long in an improv troupe.

New art?

Are you asking why I don't have new comics? If not, please explain. If so:

I have my entry to the cup. That's when I was motivated to create. When I try to create comics without the proper motivation, I create crap. I prefer not to create crap if I can help it. The world has enough of it.

Besides, my job is sucking my soul from me, and the ST:TNG marathon on TNN is monopolizing hours that should be spent sleeping.

Lastly, it was a joke. People expect me to be an egotistical bitch. Who am I to disappoint them?

My boyfriend neglected to inform me that we're out of caffeinated beverages when he served the last of soda to us last night with dinner. This morning is already shit.

I wasn't talking about how many comics you've made. I was playing off the joke earlier in the thread that DexX is always doing new art, so your time too will come. It was meant to be funny, not mean.

If you're ever unsure about anything I say, just assume it was meant to be funny, since that's all I try to do on this forum. (I said TRY.)

Amen sister. I just got finished watching the Data feels anger for the first time one. Gripping.

Is it just me or do the episodes look remastered? They look a lot clearer than I remember the reruns looking on other channels.

I just realized , that if Brad introduces Star Trek characters into these forums , all semblance of humour would disappear from these conversations.

Typical denial. You have a Starfleet uniform in your closet, don't you?

Sometimes, when you go to sleep at night you pretend like you're Data and you're turning off your power unit.

At the McDonalds drive-thru you say: Big Mac and fries. Make it So.

You call your girlfriend Number One.

Right before sex you yell ENGAGE!

Come on, don't lie. I can't be the only one.

You know you're a Trekkie when you differentiate between Trekkies and "Trekkers":

Trekkers wonder what it's like to have sex in zero gravity.
Trekkies wonder what it's like to have sex.
