And it was just bad timing . I was watching a video from some years back of one of the original Whose Line series , with Tony Slattery , Mike McShane , John Sessions and Josie Lawrence , and Tony Slattery did that EXACT sketch.
Which was scary.
It was Tony? That was scary. I still have his Babewatch impression etched on my brain.
Could be worse; could have been Colin :-)
Hmmm. TBH , Colin Mochrie never really managed to make me spit (insert drink of your choice) all over the TV screen before. Slattery , Lawrence , Stiles and Proops managed it often ,and Sessions managed it every time he got up from his stool.
That said , he does play the best "Neurotic" characters.
The thing is, he's just got so utterly no rhythm, he knows it, and just goes with the flow, often with hilarious results. I think he's really come into his own in the US version of the show. If you ever see the "Captain Hair" episode, you may find yourself spitting whatever.
That said, I find no fault with the four names you mentioned.
Ive said time and again , it was the greatest loss to television EVER when John Sessions went back to doing Shakespeare and being a Luvvie on stage instead of on screen.
And while i will look out for the version you mention , i will point out that , no matter how good Mochries performance is , odds are it will be negated by Drew Carey being the host , and him being probably the one american TV "personality" i detest above all others.
Probably because the girlfriend thinks hes so fantastic , and i cant see any talent at all.
Oh , and he ruined the Royal Rumble last year.
