Don't you dare call Asia album covers surrealism. Dali is surrealism. Bosch is surrealism. De Chirico is surrealism. Even that weird turquoise bird from Animaniacs is closer to surrealism. Asia album covers are that same Christian Riese Lassen shit that popped up in the 80's and 90's on spiral-bound notebooks and other elementary school supplies. I think I still have one. It's fuscia-tinted killer whales swimming in candy-colored outer space. That's just crap.

Why are you assuming this site has any rationality to begin with? Besides, personal preference in music usually has very little to do with rationalism. People who try to rationalize why they like a band to a bunch of just as irrational people are only showing that they're merely insecure in their own preferences.

I like Billy Idol. I'm not sure why, but I do. A lot of people hate him but I really don't care because it's just a personal preference. The difference is I don't give a rat's ass what the other fuckers on this board thinks and I'm not going to be pulled into a "rational" debate over album covers, the musicians that make up the band, or the early works versus later works. Cause I'm secure in that I do like crappy music sometimes. And it really doesn't matter.

I remember that one Asia song, "The Beat of the Boy Meat" or whatever. God damn that sucked.
