*NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month and takes place the entire month of November. The idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days.

I've signed up and I'm getting plot ideas ready. Who else is in this with me?

I think based on my calculations
there is something like 2678400 seconds in November, so if you only wrote a word every 53 seconds for the entire month, you could complete the goal.

sadly, no one would ever read it, because you would write mostly insane gobblydygook from sleep deprivation.

although, you never know. Put it on the internet, and someone is bound to read it, eventually.

NaNoWriMo was probably the single-most fun thing I did last year.

I'm in for the ride again this year.

(Seriously -- it's only 1667 words a day! That's nothing!)

This is not my empire.

I just signed up. I guarantee my "novel" won't make a lick of sense, but when it comes right down to it, neither does "Gravity's Rainbow" and that's considered gold.
