I stole this ladies purse today and I was like, "Yes, I got that rich ladies purse!" Yeah. I mean she was paying attenion to her dog and the bag was just hangin' there on her finger. Yeah. So i shoved my hand into that purse. Turned out to be one of those poop bags. HaHaHAhAHa! OMFG! Jesus! Hahaha!

Both comics are very funny concepts, I think, but they each have problems:

The first comic doesn't really work because Maura doesn't look like anyone's Grandma.

The second comic doesn't work largely because the 2nd character in the third panel laughs at the joke.  Laugh tracks don't really work in comics.  In that panel, he should be saying something snarky or cynical or deprecating to the storyteller.

But I think you have good potential.  My advice is to read your coimcs as if you'd never seen them before before you submit them.
