Forget about rugby and football, and all the other sorry displays of sissified sportcraft in which players go running to "referees" to settle disputes about "rules". Give me the mud and the blood of Buzkashi, in which fierce Afghani tribesmen strive for control of a headless goat carcass. This is a game for real men only, and as such is manly in a vigorously masculine manner. So what if the name Buzkashi means "goat grabbing"? This is sport in the raw, still surging with the vitality of it's warrior ancestry.
Oh, give me the feel of a supple goat carcass yielding to my dominating grasp, team-mates cheering me on as I take possession of it and force it to my will.
And then the game begins!
