As a few of you already know, tomorrow I will be moving house. At the new place, we are getting optical cable connected, which will carry both our phone calls and broadband internet. The problem with this is that those slack bastards at Optus can't connect us until the 5th of February, a week and a half from now. My reaction this is illustrated in this strip:

| What did the phone company say? | |

| The credit check was no problem, but they're really busy at the moment. They can't come around and hook up the optical cable until the 8th. | |

| A week after we move in? Damn! Oh well, it'll be a pain coping without a phone for that long, but I suppose there's nothing we'll just have to rely on mobiles. | |

| James, listen carefully - no phone line for a week. No internet for a week. | |

I will definitely pop online a few times from a friend's place, especially if I win the cup (yeah, right - I used up all of my luck escaping eviction this round) but for all intents and purposes, I will not be here. I'll be posting my entry for the final round of the cup in a few minutes (after I write it, theoretically) and then I have to go to bed.
See you all soon-ish.
*hugs all round*
