Fucking hell, yesterday was insane, I went to get my train and at one point there was such a huge gust of wind that EVERYONE on Union street just stopped, unable to move, people walking in the other direction either skipped along into walls or fell flat on their faces, it was funny, but weird. Then all the trains got suspended and eventually cancelled, so I was stuck in Glasgow.
I walked towards the underground and Buchanan Street was littered with roof tiles and blown over road signs, when I got into the underground a fight had broken out and police were called. Then underground itself was packed with panicking passengers and it was pretty much a "survive if you can" scenario.
I got to Kelvinbridge and went to my mates house, both Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities had been pretty much evacuated (can't think of a better word).
I sat for half an hour, had a joint, looked at my hair which, with the gel now hardened made me look like Tina Turner in an electrical storm.
By the time I left the entire city was gridlocked, we passed a couple of taxis on the way to the motorway and the fares were sitting at £80-£90.
It took me 4 hours to get home, I only live about 12 miles away from the city centre.
