Okay, perhaps I'm jaded, perhaps I just don't like newbies whose first thread is about their comics. I don't care. I didn't find any of the comics funny enough to consider "brilliance".
Granted, my first 50 strips were about 98% SHIT, but when I came to the forums, I read the FAQ, talked to the regs, and just became part of the scene. I picked up on jokes, got my funny on, and when people stopped thinking of me as a stupid newbie, they clicked on my name and saw that a few of my comics were funny. Ease up on the number you make a day. It helps. You conserve your funny, and concentrate it into fewer strips. That way, you get fewer, funnier strips that may actually make people chuckle or laugh.
I personally think that it's a bad idea for n00bies to post on this specific forum. The "General Discussion" area is the best place to hang out at first. Enter some comic competitions if you're DESPERATE to get your comics out. If the funny is strong with you, you can lift X-Wings. Or something.
