Quick tip for newbies #4
If you want people to read your comics, post them. It is generaly a bad idea to just post and say "read my comics" without giving some incentive. The sad fact is that many (most?) readers will simply skip over your posting and not read your comics. However, if you post one or two of your strips, ones that you think are your best, or do a good job of representing the kind of strips you make, people are more likely to take notice and actually read them.
One common phenomenon that this gets around is the first-comics-are-crap syndrome. Most regulars would agree that their first comics are not their best (though some people flaunt that general rule). If you just post to a cold audience and they actually agree to read your stuff, they will nearly always start fron the first one. This may be a bad idea, for obvious reasons. If you post your best one/s in the forum, readers will be more likely to overlook any weak early ones.
