| Awkward Silence is a technique found often in comics. It tradtionally works best in the second panel, but occasionally works well in the other two. | |

| It is an outstanding way to show that there are no words to describe what the character is thinking, or perhaps he is too stupid to come up with said words. | |

| It also is a common way to take a comic that would better work as a two-paneller and write it as an equally-good three-paneller, so it can be posted on Stripcreator. | |
