Welcome to the third Finish this comic challenge!

Previous FTC's:
ftc#1
ftc#2

The rules of this award comeptition

-Copy the comic below exactly.
-Add text to one, the other, or both characters in the last panel, but don't change the other panels.
-You may use the mirrored characters in the last panel.
-You may change the title if you want, keep the FTC #3 part unless you don't like having competition names in your comics, an award will be given for good titles.

181862

A psychic award will be given if you make a comic similar to the one I was planning on making.

Although the character used is "kaddar" in the "kaddar" catagory, you don't have to make a joke about how it is my character, but you can. I'll probably make an award like the "truth" award, which in this competion I would use to mean the most like a wish I'd make.

I'd say the zinger award is probably the most esteemed award. It means you have a great punchline, which is what this competition is about. pita and niteowl are the current two who have gotten it. Good luck!

I'll notify you about judging a day in advance.

By the way, I figure some comics are hard to come up with jokes for, so as a special alternative, I'm offering the ability to make a comic using this "finish this comic" instead. Use either, it doesn't matter. Same rules apply.

181945

There's no psychic award for this one though.

Niteowl, I know I said there is no psychic award for the second comic, but I swear that that was the comic I thought of after that post. haha. maybe you'll get the honorary psychic award for this competion, and it will be silver. haha.

It's hardly psychic thinking that a geek would download a movie to watch, but I thought the movie would have been "The Matrix: Revolutions."

Good point umfum...but I figured I'd go with a recently released movie and that's all I could think of at the time.

By the way, I think I might turn over the next FTC competition to someone else, they could use http://www.drigon.com/~ta/awards/ directory for the awards, and mail me new award graphics for each competition, and I'd add them so that future FTC hosts would be able to use them. Use the same base for the award and put whatever you need for the top, make the surrounding area transparent.

The next host would be as follows:
1) Zinger winner
2) If zinger says no, creativity winner
3) If not creativity winner, silver in excellence winner
4) If none of these will host the next ftc award competition, the first person to post that they will host the next competition will host.

From now on, when you post your comics, post whether or not you'd be willing to host the next award show below them. This way, I'll announce the next host as well as the winner. (Whether or not you will host it will not effect my judging). If any of you who have already posted want to host also, make a new post.

What do you all think of this idea? These FTC competitions seem to go pretty well, and I think it'd be cool if other people got to host them, because there are enough images to do so without them having graphical work if they aren't feeling like it.

I'd have no problem with that, but I was thinking about giving first choice to host to the one with the best award, and if none of these 3 best award winners I listed would host it, the first person who spoke up about wanting to host it would get it. This seems like a pretty fair method, you think?

Definitely. Because were they to win one of the aforementioned awards, that would at least mean that you have faith in them.

Also if anyone wants to submit award graphics for whoever is going to do the next ftc, email kaddartalon@hotmail.com with the image and title and I will upload them to the /awards/ directory. I'll put a HTML file in the /awards/ directory stating which image goes to what award name.
