Just keep it down to who you want to kill.

This I don't get. The point of shooting someone is to kill them, as far as I understand... particularly in war. Why not use APLP ammo? I'm way more for this than spreading nuke dust everywhere with Bush's mini-nukes. I mean, try to stay focused on killing only those you mean to people!

Sloppy sloppy sloppy.

What utter horseshit. I'm still going to stand by this war, tenatively, of course. But this whole "bunker buster nuke" shit has got to be stopped. Yeah, I'm all for daisy cutters. Hell, drop a couple thousand pounds of dynamite on their asses, but nukes? This is the shit I've always been afraid of.
Boy, Bush does one impressive thing, then completely decimates my faith in him by doing this kind of crap.

Oh, yeah, those bullets are TEH NEET!

Though, I've heard of bullets that do that before. Something similar, anyway. My dad recounted some ammunition when he was in Viet Nam that would actually travel up someone's leg if it hit right. It was almost always assured to kill if you hit body or head, and would mess someone up good if it hit an extremity.

No. NATO regulated ammo is actualy specified to certian qualities and calibers in order to ensure that it is NOT the most destructive it can be. The idea is that if you incapacitate someone with a bullet without killing them, their comrades will have to drag them off the battlefield and you waste more enemy resoruces with a single "smart" bullet.

Like most industries, war has just enough rules, paychecks and hogwash to keep the doppish and unfortunate playing along with some hope of emerging unscathed.

This is the most disgusting, cringe-inducing news I have heard in a long time. And actually, Bush had little to do with this other than perhaps signing off on some vague military funding that helped develop these bullets. This was a private weapons manufacturer. Everyone, when you click that link, make sure you link to the bullet in action. What it does to that piece of meat is horrendous. I am 100% sure it is only a matter of time before we have frikkin' laser beams.
