I think a lot of people here were predisposed to dislike you simply because your views on important things are different from theirs, and they don't like that. (That seemed obvious to me since the first moment you got here.)

Though, in my opinion, you do also have a tendency to do the same - push your opinion on others telling them what they "should" do. But you don't do it more than many or most people here, so again it goes back to you being of a different philosphical view than the majority here. ie, people pushing the majority opinion on you is deemed okay, but you pushing the minority opinion on them isn't.

The key, like someone said above, is to not give a fuck. Or, if you'd rather have a better sense of community, find a different community where people share views more similar to yours.

I'll agree with Obi, that was my first reason as to not liking you, Nate, just because I had been around people who were anti-... well, anti-everything for a long time, so to have someone so firm in their beliefs put me off.

I've noticed a change, however, which is why I can actually converse with you now and not get pissed off... as much that is. Anyway, I think what *I* am trying to say is to just let the bs slide, and pick your arguments wisely. Or debates. Whatever.
