Let me start by giving you an example of what I'm looking for:

29996

The rules of this contest are simple. Choose a point of view that is at best unpopular, at worst ludicrous, and use the stripcreator medium to persuade readers to that position. There is no requirement that you believe in the position you are presenting. Matter of fact, we probably hope you don't.

Judging will be roughly on the basis of (A * B) + C, where A represents how unpopular, indefensible and ridiculous the position taken in your strip is, B represents how persuasive the presented arguments are, and C is a function of the creative and appropriate use of the characters and props to present your "argument".

Multiple entries are welcome, but too many lame entries may dull the judge's opinion of your clever one.

Entries will close precisely 72 hours after this message's timestamp.

By the way, mine sucks all ass, I'm going to make a new one. Just because it's a fun contest doens't guarantee I'll be funny. :/

Hey Brad, why is it that if I try to post two different comics in a single message, it only posts the first one twice?

I was going to write it as if men were restraining women - then it would have been antisocial. But I rather enjoyed the other way more. I'm still trying to come up with something that is antisocial but doesn't give me wood.

I kinda lost sight of the B part of the (A * B) + C formula. I'm holding out hope that I scored high enough on the A part to compensate.

This one really needed a couple more panels to do the idea justice. Then again, I could make fifty strips on the topic without running out of material. God knows why I set it in the US - Aussie politicians are just as bad.

On another topic, I can see Captain RightWing becoming a new recurring character, popping up occasionally to shout "Communist!" or "Feminazi!" at appropriate moments.

I owe a large ammount of my comic collection to your presence here, crabby. And while I'm fully aware that you're no longer the way that you're depicted in that comic, it certainly is fun to think back on the old days.

I swear though, I've seen that one in one of your old comics. It's too bad if I'm mistaken because that's actually one of my favorites.

I think I'll start branching out and using other strippers more often, though... "spread the love," as they say...

All seriousness aside, I dare say this contest brought out the best/worst in a lot of you. I was surprised how many of you selected heads of state as your "spokespeople", but perhaps I shouldn't have been. Among the many entries that struck me were (in chronological order):

boorite's NAMBLA appeal was just plain hilarious. Serious refrigerator door material. It didn't, however, really address the issue of persuading the audience. So that left the door open to others.

evil_d's invasion plans. I might have shoehorned in a comment about a sneak nighttime attack, but really good job!

NastyPope and wirthling for their one-two punch of pure tastelessness (now you know why Jewish law requires burial).

Drexle's throwing himself on the grenade of the obvious, and posting the low degree of difficulty crab-a-thon. I'm not bitter at all because I had someone else in the betting pool on who would do that...

Nonetheless, there was another comic that both adhered to the rules, and tickled me for its utter preposterousness. And thus, by the arbitrary and capricious powers vested in me, I present your CC 51 champion:

30027

I'll be checking my mailbox for my little piece of Nome!

Good gravy. This almost makes up for my hoovering all over the Comic Cups to date. This contest had great rules and resulted in a ton of hilarious comics. I will do my best to come up with rules that meet this standard later today. Failing that I will serve up my usual bowl of tripe.
