Ok, for this next PV I'd like to see postcards and photos/posters for places for Stripcreator photoshoppers to go on holiday, or action shots of them on holiday.

1. Postcards from these places:

They can be real places - "Come to Middlesbrough and smell our fumes!", "New York, So good, they mugged me twice."
or ficticious "We've been seen by the Great Eye of Mordor!" , "Gotham City - Up yours, Metropolis!"

2. Holiday photos (Tobor cornholing the Statue of Liberty while you look on, shaking your head and smiling) (Spankling next to the World's Largest Spike-heel)

Etcetera. No in-joke is too taboo, but original, well-put together entries are more likely to win.

If you know me well enough there are some locations you can use which will help increase your chances of winning. Plus if anyone makes any of the examples I've listed above, bonus points as well.

Judging will be in about ten days, so you have extra time to make some quality entries.

Happy holidays

Something like this has been done before.

I thought it might have, but it's been a while.

If anyone strongly objects to the theme of this PV I'll come up with a new one, but I reckon there's still enough mileage in it. I'll even allow you to use old entries.

Dcom's just moaning for the sake of - it's a good idea, and I don't remember it being done before recently, so stick with it.

I don't know if this is really similar or not. But it's a good idea anyway, keep it.

Haha! Fair point, I concede. But I do like the idea for the PV, all the same.

I urge Jes in the strongest possible manner to make this competition about Fox News and John Wankerman in particular.

Maybe someone will make a postcard from the FOX news building.

Since no one else has posted, I get to be the first (yay!). By the way, this photo was actually taken here.

I see no incredible blackness. Just a lovely postcard which I slaved over for an incredible 10 minutes. So do several other people I tested the image with.

Check your browser settings to view .png image files or stop using AOL. Or I'll just bail your lazy asses out and post an inferior-quality .gif image which will be lousy and pixellated.

Next time I'll post a .tif or .bmp and anyone not on a high speed connection will have to sit minutes upon minutes to wait for it to load! Mwah ha ha ha haaa!

Im on a high speed connection with an up to date version of IE , and hey , i just happen to be seeing a black square.

Do i need Opera , or Ivynet Explorer to see this?

The first one I posted is a PNG image. A very standard format in image viewing. The second is a normal, lousy GIF. As I said, check you browser preferences...specifically "file helpers." Now scroll down...and I know this is a lot of work but I'm sure you can get through it...until you see listings for "PNG files." Now, for the application, choose Quicktime plugin.

Doesn't matter if you have a shiny new Alienware system with all the updated goodies. You have to enable these things unless your world consists only of jpeg, gif, and bmp images. That's why those settings are considered to be advanced settings.

I am going to be posting more pics. I am going to be posting them in PNG format because, unlike jpeg, they can handle text on pictures without blurring the text and unlike gifs, they are high quality images.

For the people who don't want to do all the work in preferences, I will post a link to a gif image so you can view it to your heart's content, but the image will be crappy.

First server problems now viewing problems. This isn't worth it.

Well, I work with PNG images here at work. They are the uncompressed images we use to cut from to make bigger, compressed images that people can actually view online.

People aren't going through extra effort just to view PNGs, Ivy. Thus, you lose. :P

PNGs are also usually 3 times larger than JPGs or GIFs.

As far as I know I never had any problems viewing PNGs... until now...

I dont know whats worse, the fact that Ivy knows i have a big shiny Alienware system (did i ever mention that on here?) or the fact ive been dissed by someone who knows me outside these forums.

Scary.

I hate to jump to cowboy physics right off the bat but I'm tired and can't come up with anything else. I'll do some real entries later.

Dammit. We had an entire contest made out of that image way back in PV 50 or something.

I think it was Gabe or Fuzzyman that actually went there (or claimed to have).

And this one I posted before keeps disappearing so I'm posting it again.
