In this thread I will be posting one comic a day of mine that I think sucks. I suggest everyone else do the same. My very worst comics will be here, so eventually I will have each and every of my comics posted here.

That one was a topic close to my heart, but an execution that didn't quite do it justice.

This comic makes me chuckle for some reason but it's not necessarily good. The comics I've posted here so far are the reasons why I stay away from romantic or love related comics and stick to the sophmoric humor that I usually use.

This is the worst comic I ever made. Hopefully by posting it here I can achieve some sort of catharsis. Kaufman gave me a great setup and I just couldn't do anything with it.

And now that that Comic Cup is over, I can admit that I totally forgot about the "devout Catholic" rule until after I saved the strip. The "sanctuary" line was just a Hunchback of Notre Dame reference. After I posted I thought, "Crap, I completely forgot that rule... well, maybe I can make this work."

The one thing I do like about this comic (aside from kaufman's panel -- I think the "free chicken" thing is hilarious) -- is the name of the frat. Upsilon Phi Sigma = UFS. Now, the Greeks didn't have a 'Y' in their alphabet -- the word we get our root "hydro" from is actually udor (with a rough breathing mark over the 'u', but I digress) -- so if you're transliterating, and you want a 'Y', you use the 'U'. So Upsilon Phi Sigma also = YFS, and that stands for "Your Frat Sucks".

Anyhow. I think the other comics in this thread so far are all at least passable. If I came across them on the front page, I'd give them at least a '1' instead of just reloading the page. And I'm all for making fun of the stupid things women do. On the other hand, when men do dumb things, it just makes me look better by comparison. I'd like to take a moment to thank all the dumb men in the world for making it so easy for a crackpot like myself to seem desirable.

here's my worst to date. it was better on the creation screen, when all of the first two panels were full of text--then it was, as it was supposed to be, a fun jab at serial comics like prince valiant. at any rate, it gave me my only truly recurring character:

this was one of my first comics. before i realised that tobor was meant to say RAAARRR all the time and have some kind of cornholing reference in it's speech. it was funny at the time. if you were me.

I liked that comic, apejuice. It's actually quite refreshing to see Red Robot playing a role other than Tobor.

The characters are meant to do whatever you want them to do. They all (or most of them, anyway) have names and personalities from whatever strip they originally come from (or in the case of the forumusers, from the message boards), and some of them, like Red Robot/Tobor, have developed new names and personalities that are specific to this site. Often we rely on those pre-established names and personalities so as to save ourselves the trouble of fitting characterization into a three-panel comic. But don't let anyone tell you how to write your strips.

Crabby, any strip that ends with the elephant, completely out of the blue, saying "MOO!" is not all bad. To be brutally honest, I thought that one was a shitload better than a lot of your others, and it is lightyears ahead of some of the shit that turns up every day. The ones I hate most are the ones with the ko fighting gabe and the girl (name?) swearing at each other for two panels, then one catches on fire, and the other says "owned" or "ph33r me". They suck so fucking hard I just can't cope...

I would disagree with DexX. The RoboJesus strip really did nothing for me at all, even with the "Moo elephant."

On the other hand, I liked the one you posted Lyekka... It was actually one of the better of your six, IMO.

I like the elephant saying "Moo", to be honest. I can't explain why, but I do.

josh2025 has a series about the "Jesus-Tron 2000", in which Red Robot takes over Jesus' job for a while. I think it's kind of funny. It starts here.

To me, this one was all around lame... I knew there was no way in hell I could come up with a funny comic based on this contest's rules, and I think it shows in what i came up with.

What's even worse is that i completely *forgot* to give the strip it's background! >_<

I thought the only funny part of my whole Robo-Jesus 5000 was the "MOO!" at the end. I can't say why I find it funny though, it's just so stupid it makes me chuckle.
