Seriously, why the hell do you people take it so seriously? I really don't get it. I have not seen people from any other country that seems to take politics to the point that if anyone disagrees with you, they are a baby raping nazi bastard who needs to be shot repeatedly (you know... apart from socialistic countries that really do shoot you repeatedly). Isn't the point of democracy to have different opinions?

Perhaps this is true, but you have bad teeth and pronounce the "h" in "herbs."

You know...I think we all take politics seriously, just to fight about it...or maybe because...we're choosing the person who is going to run our country for the next few years....nahh.

That's probably just Satan punishing the people who didn't vote for one of his evil minions. If you'll notice, the storm paths roughly spell out the letters "I X", which translates as "I am no one", which, coincidentally, was Al Gore's campaign slogan.

Oh well, back to stoking my burning, all-consuming hatred for anyone who doesn't vote the way I do.

That still doesn't mean that you need to take it to the point where you base your opinion of someone purely on their political views.

I'm not sure I'm buying that. Have you ever watched debates from the British parliament? It's like watching too many kids trying to share the same sandbox sometimes. And Japanese legislators get so fired up that they've been known to faint with apoplexy. And these are supposedly some of the most civilized people in the world. I think anyplace you find people who care about issues, you're going to find zealots who take it too far and make everyone looks like assholes.

It's not just politics that we take seriously. Sports, money, relationships, TV, even video games. It's part of our national identity, we take everything too seriously. Keep in mind that this country was founded by puritans, and further settled by other religious loonies. We have a notion that the other side follows party lines directly and without question. Conservatives are all controlling, uber-religious, hateful people who don't give a damn about the poor, while Liberals are psychotic godless baby-killers who want to tax every working man to death and provide mansions for the poor. Of course, the Moderates get the worst of it all, both sides hate us. To both of them, we're wishy-washy morons who don't know enough about the issues so we don't take a side or stance. Everyone thinks of politics as being who you are, not just an aspect of your personality. I am pro-choice, so the republicans gotta hate me. I support the death penalty, so the democrats have to hate me. I'm just an evil baby killer who also likes to kill criminals. Guess that's just wrong.

I personally take politics seriously because it affects my country and the people in my country.

The reason I tend to judge others based on their politics is because of their choices.

If the way you think and speak belies a patent disregard for the less fortunate, I, at least, will attempt to hold you accountable for it. I don't think all people with opposing views are evil or idiotic, which is why I attempt to change their minds.

I do feel, however, that people succumb to the less-violent equivolent of a mob mentality when they are confronted with what seems to be a common enemy. It seems that anyone who oppose the incumbent's party in this country is the enemy, which is why the "right" seems to be so organized.

"The right seems so organized" reads as "the Democrats are incompetent".

Actually, you're an idiot.

The Democrats are incompetent. I'm pretty sure that reads just fine the way it is.

Also, if you hold a mirror to the middle of the bass drum on the cover of Sgt. Pepper's, it reads "IONEIX HE DIE" and points to Paul.

So it's just God telling us that Paul is, in fact, dead. Miss him, miss him.

...I feel politicians are either one of two things:

1) Womanizer
2) Or had a personality as bad as Stripmaker's contests.

But hey, that's just my opinion.
