I was thinking about a few ideas for this one, including requiring the strips to have a pet, a demonic possession, and a priest, but I settled on the following...

Sequels!

Pretty simple - find a strip you really like, and write a sequel. It can continue the story, be a prequel, be an entirely different scenario involving the same characters... whatever. Make sure you post the original as well as your sequel.

Multiple entries are encouraged, photoshopped entries will be tolerated. Judging will be a bit delayed - I will be spending the weekend in my home town, attending my high school reunion! As such, I will be doing the judging either Sunday night or Monday afternoon... so... well, call it four days, though it may be four and a half.

Have fun.

must the original not be one i did?
is pulling out your old strips that coincidentally follow all the rules frowned upon?
i saw a couple people try, but admit that it's breaking at least one rule...

this one kinda breaks the rules, in that it's not a sequel to a comic i "really like," but nonetheless this person's work somehow manages to intrigue me.

as for the title change, don't blame me. the producers decided the alliteration of the new title worked better. *shrugs*

As I said, I'll leave town before this one is over, so I'd hate to win and fail to judge CC 76. Ergo, I'll tank this contest, while putting up some nice prequels ...

Okay, here's the really obvious entry.

Here is the original that everyone knows and loves:

And here is the prequel:

I managed to resist adding a 20 minute CGI race sequence narrated by Greg Proops in the middle.

By a whole six minutes too. Although I suppose since mine was a prequel, and yours a sequel, we could bundle them all together as a trilogy.

I'm just here to absorb the ambience and hone my meager skills. In that spirit I'm going to post to every subsequent contest without entering it.

Ha! It will take that fool Pedantic (and the rest of mainstream physics) another 15 years to catch up with my Theory of Everything (tm).

Since the sequel is never as good as the original, it logically follow that the prequel is better.

And since Cowboy Physics was already the most popular comic of all, your prequel is unbeatable.

The logic is inescapable.

I actually intended that the sequel would follow on from someone else's strip, not one of your own, but since I didn't specify... don't worry about it.

Great entries so far, everyone. Lots of laugh-out-loud efforts already. :)
