I hope you don't take questioning beliefs as insulting, but this is the sort of thing that makes me want to ask people (including most Christians) one question: Did you really listen to Jesus? He said that homosexuals have about the same chance of getting to heaven as anyone else. If I'm remembering right, it was Paul, who never met Him in person, who said that gays are damned.

Anyway, something I've been wanting to say for a while is that most great holy men really are worth listening to. Enlightenment kicks ass!

If you're a christian, you need to believe in the whole bible. Otherwise you're just fooling yourself and form fitting the christian god to your own image. A byproduct of the whole "infallibility" thing. If you believe the bible, be a christian. If you don't, then don't. I think popular culture is very derisive towards christians and doesn't respect them too much. I had originally thought this was due to the smugness and hypocrisy of an "open-minded" society, but I've sinced convinced myself otherwise.

You see, in order to "respect" a fundamental christian, you really have to refrain from vulgarity and off-color humor. Christians in general consider these off-putting and contrary to the "clean" life their god would have them live. Having once been an extremely devout christian, I understand this concept and its consequences well. If the christian doesn't leave the situation, (which would probably be the best choice) there are two possible christian reactions: 1. as a christian you ask people to stop their "unclean" behavior, or 2. you stick around and adopt an "I'll show the sinners the correct way" attitude. (There are shades of grey of course, but I'm talking about the fundamental christians. The ones who try to follow the christian letter of the law.)

"I'll show the sinners the correct way" leads to pretense, false behavior, and no real relationships. Whereas asking people to stop their unclean behavior, although the way in which a christian feels he is being respected, is really just censoring other people.

So, in short, I no longer believe that it's a smug society that disrespects fundamental christians, but rather a society sick of a christian self-respect mechanism that essentially disrespects others by censoring them.

No, I don't belive that you are destined for hell as a homosexual. I do belive though, that you must repent and change your life before you die though... along from following God's plan of salvation, I would change my sexual orientation, just to be sure, seeing as God considers it an abomination. But no, I just believe the lifestyle is wrong, not the person(unless they start fawning on me)

10% Make comics occasionaly; like the site for its artistic value
9%Forum users that post silly topics that have no value whatsever(outside of their own entertainment{except for the cat thread})
1%Lurkers who stalk the forum users.
