November 10 was my half-birthday. In my family, going way back, we've always celebrated half birthdays the same way as an actual birthday (due to half-years making a difference in certain things such as getting a permit to drive at 15 and a half). Anyhow, I'm officially 17 and a half now. Just wanted to share :)

What an odd concept...

I think I like it.

Happy half birthday Chicka. By an amazing coincidence, I celebrate not only my birthday, but those of other people.

On the 10th of November, for example, I was raising a glass of sherry to Roy Scheider, Greg Lake, Tim Rice and Vanessa Angel. Next year i'll be certain to add your name to my illustrious list.

P.S. Today I'm getting arseholed in honour of Errol Brown and Tonya Harding. Happy Birthday everyone.

Many happy returns.

You're lucky, though. My bidet's on the 22nd of December, so I get half as many presents because miserly people think they can combine Christmas and my birthday.

Good reason to go with the half-birthday, andy. That way, you get the amount of presents you should ALREADY be getting.

Happy half-b-day. My b-day is coming up in.. 12 days. Gotta remember the half b-day thing. Being so close to X-mas my parents copped out some years. Bastards.

Loving bastards, but bastards nonetheless.

It's a popular saying.

Maybe you're unfamiliar with it outside of literature because no one's ever wanted you to have many happy returns.

I did get a car, but I would have gotten the car if it were my birthday or not. We were just waiting until my dad had a steady job. I'm quite content with it, even if it wasn't really my birthday present. I did get a card from one of my aunts...

And the fact that I only got a card from her, just as she's the only one I ever get any acknowledgement from, is why I don't attend the weddings my cousins have every other year. I'm not spiteful, but I just don't care much for solipsism.
