Help! I'm totally bereft of ideas. I've made about fifteen comics in the last few days, and not felt any of them were worth being saved. Any of you lot got any ideas to inspire me?

You could just string together a bunch of goobery-sounding words.

I was thinking of doing a couple of strips where Jesus confronts the people who took his ideas and did nasty things with them, starting with Paul. You wanna try first?

Whenever I make a strip that isn't worth saving, I do it anyway.

I'm sticking with my theory that Brad is at least 5 of the regulars and more than 3/4 of the newbies that show up.

I realise that my comics to forum posts ratio isn't what it should be, but there is a method to what I do, for better or for worse:

I only make a comic when I get an idea for one that I have faith in as a humourous artifact unto it's self.

When baseball players get in a slump, one of the best ways to get out of it is to try to hit to the opposite field. When comic strippers get in a slump, the best way to get out of it is to create comics using only props as characters. It's a cosmic law.

When I'm in a slump, I vanish for months. I've been in one heck of a slump, I can tell you.

Then eventually, I come back and write a comic, realise how crap it is, and vanish. Again. This time, however, I've stuck around and posted loads on these very boards.. and I'm STILL HERE. Wowzer.

So my REAL advice for breaking your slumpy type period is.. hang around the forums, and you'll soon find something or think of something worthy. Alternatively, just post any old crap like the rest of us.

Only a blockhead attributes a quote by Samuel Johnson to Mark Twain.
