Either that, or I'm just not paying enough attention. I think we scared her off.

I don't think we scared her off so much as she looked for a reason to be rejected in order to validate her low self-esteem.

I, for one, don't miss her at all!

I just hope she hasn't killed herself yet.

Yes, but think of the ramifications if she did commit suicide! It would mean that we had power! It would mean we had the power to control another person! It would mean we could command people to die!

No wait. It would mean we had power over a wishy-washy, codependent drama queen.

That's not as much fun. :(

One of Spankling's posts made me empty my fridge, I'd say there's a definite amount of controlling power here!

She didn't kill herself. She wrote bad poetry and wore caked-on makeup, lamenting her problems to everyone at school.
I knew people like her in school, they pretended to be goths to get attention. Real goths aren't always depressed.

Pity me.

In under a month , i have to share an island with the little drama queen.

I shall wait until she turns 16 and then play on her insecurities to get an easy lay i think.

Believe it or not, that's exactly what I would call them. There's a marked difference in how the gothy kids I've met act as opposed to older ones.

It's hard to get goth right from watching Angel on TV and maybe renting Nosferatu once. (I mean the old movie. The link was just for kicks.)

Actually, I've heard a lot of goths call them "Spooky Kids", but that's more in reference to people who think Marilyn Manson is tr00 g0th met4k!

As for what goth is now? Medieval dress helps, dark clothes, usually black, blue, or purple (or a mix thereof), makeup presents a more goth appearance, but isn't neccesary, and the attitude is the final part. Goths often are drawn to the more "horror-show" aspect of life. Graveyards, dark moody music, bats, caves, necro-anything... I could be a goth I suppose, but I prefer to call myself a metalhead.

"Goth" was a middle-european tribe that settled around Germany everntually.

"Goth" was then a very popular architecture style with sweeping arches and such, really a VERY beautiful style (I recall this girl, Melanie, recounting her trip to Europe and saying "Pshh, I didn't see anything gothic about those cathedrals, they weren't even painted black!).

"Goth" at some point indicated a style of clothing, which usually included a large selection of dark or pure black attire. Goths today don't hold themselves to simple black, as it can grow boring. Dark is still the style, but it has moved to reds, blues, purples, and even greens.

Goth means all these things to different people, and only one or two to others. It means all of them to me. :)

I've seen alot of mall goths in our mall.

Actualy they're more like freaks(The social movement, not the condition). They tend to congregate around the entrance of Hot Topic.

Once I was in the arcade(my fav place in the world), and there was this guy with a long leather trenchcoat, a Union Jack shrirt, and combat boots with a shaved head, playing that game with the submachine gun controller.

It's ok, I was wearing my orange pants and green o|0 shirt, playing Area 51 with both of the pistols.

Heh, sounds like my friend Marshall, 'cept he doesn't wear leather much, especially not a trenchcoat (that'd be expensive!). He regrets shaving his head, but he's got a babyface, so long hair on his will probably look silly. :)

I find it funny that anyone dresses a certain way to be an individual. Individuality comes from the inside, not the outside. I dress the way I do because I feel comfortably, both physically and metally with how I look.
Many goths I know are the same.
