Great site and a nice service. But I have to say that not being able to edit or delete your comics is fucking lame. There's a substantial number of situations where this might be needed, and I for one am not going to use the service any more until that feature is added.

Right, let's analyse this. You say you need an edit function, TeMPeST.. I say your strips are crap, and would benefit more greatly from a delete function. Admittedly, my strips are all also crap.. but notice how I don't moan about anything. Well, other than getting myself a character. But that's a different story entirely. :)

Anyway, welcome to our little forum community. You may have noticed that in the most part, we are nice and good-humoured to each other, and don't moan about stuff. If you reconsider and wish to stay around, then be nice will ya? Thanks much.

Oh, and as for ObiJo's amount of comics... ever considered that could be cos he's been here much much longer than you? If you want to analyse it properly, you've posted more comics per day than he has.

Admittedly, an edit / delete function would be nice.. but this is a free site. FREE. Supported entirely off people being nice and generous, and helping out. People drawing and coding stuff off their own backs. It is no ones duty to make sure that all the facilities newbies want are implemented. If you don't like it, either ask nicely, or go find another strip creator.

I'm fairly certain that one of the first messages I ever posted was to the tune of "Is there any way to delete or edit comics?", so I can certainly see your point.

But is it really necessary to be rude about it? I have no concept to the amount of time that it took to build this site originally as well as work on it constantly, but I'm willing to be that it was a lot. To put that much work into something that is enjoyable to so many with no expectation of any kind of reward is truly noble. Not only is he not charging us for the privilege, he's spending his own cash on the hosting.

Every lousy comic we make is sucking up storage space. Each post we write eats up a little bandwidth every time it's downloaded.

I've tried to do my part and send Brad a little moolah now and then to help out, especially due to the silly amount of time I've spent here in months past.

But everyone's entitled to their opinion. If you don't like the way things are run, certainly voice them. But there's no reason to be mean.

I cant even be bothered calling him a tit , since he goes out of his way to prove it , theres no real need.

And Obijo doesnt need to get a life ...... i think.

The problem is, even I could create an edit/delete function like this and make it secure within a few minutes... web developing for beginners. I find it surprising that Brad, who is obviously someone with a very good sense of creativity has neglected to sort this out. To be honest though, his reasons for not putting this up are actually very fair - he simply doesnt want to deal with half-whits who complain to a service provider after they leave their passwords lying around and their account gets hacked... In my opinion, Brad should enable this feature and tell people who's accounts have been hacked to fuck off. It wouldnt even be hard to create a system where you can download a backup config file of the comics and stuff... who knows, maybe he's working on it anyway.

In any case, respect to Brad... he knows an open opinion when he sees one and reacts accordingly, and the fact that I use abusive language is part of the forum 'thing'. In other words, if you don't like it, fuck off or remove my post. After all, he has to put up with your kind of mentalities... I was almost laughing out loud when I read the replies. :)

I believe everyone is entitled to their own oppinion. I believe Tempest has a point with this.

First off, I'd like to say that I think stripcreator is excellent peice of web design, for what it is, it's great and pretty much flawless.

A delete/edit function would be useful as it gives the user more control over what they're doing and would probably make the site more successful. Fair enough, it's not a vital function, but it's a little extra that could take the system a lot further.

If we look at other on-line database type systems, such as a website news editor, it will give you edit & delete options, if it did not, it would be a great inconvinience to the editor.

I personally would like to see at least a delete option, as I've got crappy cartoons. It's not difficult to incorporate :)

Still, as I say, I don't have a problem with it, just a suggestion.

Oh, and there's 'pants', 'trousers', 'slacks' and 'jeans'. Pants are pants. I believe the English use the correct term. Also, learn to spell English :) Centre, not center! I'm fed up with having to code to accomodate bloody American spelling. Color wtf?! It's Colour!
