There it is, then. Put the whole of "War and Peace" into the first two panels if you like, but there must be no text whatsoever in the last. So ixnay on the arrationnay, ialogueday and oughtthay. I've seen a number of strips in the past which do this to very amusing effect (and the above isn't one of them), so it should be possible. Just blacking out the last panel and pretending it isn't there doesn't count, by the way. It has to contribute somehow to the comic. Other than that, anything goes. As usual, multiple entries accepted, nay, encouraged.
Oh, and though it's not required, extra marks if you manage to include the word "tool" at some point. This can be incorporated into another word (e.g. "stool"), split over two words (e.g. "too late") or just on its own (e.g., er, "tool").
Judgement will be meted out in the wee hours of Saturday morning GMT, which should be between 22.00 and 23.00 on Friday, EST.

I finally find these comic competitions, start thinking about ideas, and now I can't do anything, unless you want all three slides blank, or some text on the first two but nothing else!

It's part of the comic. It's not cheating- I mean for the "screen" to go dark that way.

"The Ex-Existentialists" is what made me add you to my favourites Wirthling, you were the first person I added who I didn't know in real life.

it was all downhill from there

After that one from Bogart just now, I don't know that I should bother, but here's an older one of mine that fits the bill, just in case.

Let me guess: your comic creating problems started when you quit using MS Internet Explorer.

Am I right, or am I right?

I believe you're wrong. I've been having the same problem since last night, and I'm using Internet Explorer.

And for people having the comic maker page loading problem, just hit stop once the empty combo boxes have appeared. That should fix it.

Andy's E-mail Corner

A Ken Kaufman asks:

Just a suggestion -- you might want to append something to the rules
suggesting that the default asiangirls in the last frame is
functionally
equivalent to an all-black panel.

Also, could you clarify on the use of "word props" such as ZAP in the
last
panel? Not that I have any plans to use one, but someone might.

Yours forever,
Ken

Okay, folks, the default asiangirls aren't allowed in the last panel, unless they're actually integral to the strip. Same applies to the black panel. For example, Nate's entry above is legal.

And feel free to include "word props". Graphic-text is fine, just not text-text.

If there are any more entries after such obfuscated rules, it'll be a miracle.

I liked fuck's comic....part of me wants to see him run a contest of his own, the other part just likes the thought of a blue monster with feet-for-ears raping "undfer age peepel".

I mean, it was called "1 day at a party" and the background shows them floating above a city, it's subtle genius!
