Good golly, comic strip deletion is now online for donors. You'll have to log out and then in again for the deletion option to become available on your comics.

As with any new feature, there could be bugs or security issues, so if you experience any problems please let me know.

And in case you're worried: the comics aren't actually deleted from the database, just flagged as hidden. So if something goes wrong and all your comics disappear, let me know and I can easily restore them once I fix whatever stupid error I've made.

Deleted comics will probably be purged from the database after they've been deleted for a couple of weeks.

I just went about deleting a few duplicates and screw-ups from my library. It seems to work nicely.

Of couse now that I'm on a mac, and have no idea how to clear the history, sc.com won't log me out.

I guess it's no big deal as long as the strips are just hidden, though this could be troubling if that were not the case.

I used it, as well. It works beautifully. Thank you, easter bunny.

Is this logging out problem at school again? Or is this another computer entirely?

Brad, Sorry if I'm an idiot. I would REALLY like to delete some of my initial comics, which are really bad. I'm unclear on the procedure to delete an old comic.

If I'm missing the obvious could you please be a saint and point it out to me?

Thanks!

Please ignore previous post. I am a mormon. I admit it. It works beautiful.
Thanks.

Yeah, it's at school again. It's weird. Some computers give me these problems, while others do not. Even on this campus, it varies. Some of the macs here in this room log me out normally, and then there's this one. (Which I figured out how to clear of its history and cookies). At the same time, some PCs do it and not others.

But remember, it also happened when I was at home. I couldn't even begin to venture a guess as to what causes this.

The comic deletion thing is completely awesome, truly, those of you who have not donated deserve to be cursed with shitty duplicates and spelling mistakes, you LOSERS!

Brad, this is strange but once again the option to delete a comic is not appearing for me. I've tried logging off and logging back on, and some other things, but no dice.

Brad - I have figured out what is going on with the delete option. I found I had to make a post in one of the forums, or make a new comic before the delete option would appear.

This doesn't seem to be a problem -- but I thought I'd share the info incase someone else has the same experience.

That's kind of bizarre. The same code for setting your donor cookie is in all three places. Why two would work and one would not is beyond me. I'll look into it when I get home Sunday.

Brad,
Now I can't delete a comic after making it. I MUST make a forum post before the delete option appears (actually, I'm hoping it will appear after I make this post, as I just made a "test" comic and need to remove it.)

Yo, Alpha here. I just sent Brad the donation. And I want to publicly congradulate him for not whoring himself to pop-up ads, or flash/java screen ads (even worse) or even any banner ads!

Ah, soon I'll delete those screw-ups... (not a bad idea to make people donate before they get the features instead of advertisements. Excellent idea! Brad, you're gonna go far, I know it.)

Just went and read your... two comics! They're really good - the first one made me laugh out loud - but I'm surprised that a newcomer would make a donation straight off the bat. Have you been making comics under another name, or are you just a generous soul? :)
