I've been hoist on my own petard.
Some dozen contests ago, I had this great idea for a photo edit contest, namely album cover art. So what happens, but I win a contest based on that theme (how do you think I already had the winning concept loaded?) But now we have a problem. I have to run a contest, but my idea's been taken.
We've hit on most of the ideas of popular culture in these contests. Music, and movies, and of course comic strips ... maybe we should do one on sports!
But which sport? We have an international audience that recognizes at least 4 different brands of football; baseball's popular here, but not there, cricket there, but not here, and don't get me started on curling. I want something accessible in North America, the British Isles, and Down Under.
You see where this is leading:
GOLF.
Yeah, I suppose tennis would qualify too, but I'll let someone else have the Agassi...Kournikova franchise. This week's rules are simple. Something with a golf theme.
As the last sentence suggests, I'll do something about this contest in a week.
