We should start a Stripcreator RPG campaign. I'm more comfortable with 2nd edition D&D, but if someone else has a better idea, I think it'd be pretty cool searching out the evil Tobor wizard. If any of you out there have ever done D&D, especially anyone with Dungeon Master experience, I think that perhaps an IRC campaign would be cool.
Anyone agree?

What's-a-matter? Yer arm broke?

I used to DM in college - back in the late 70s when pot was cheap. Now I got no time to set up worlds only to have muddy footed wonderers torch the place. But it was fun from what I can remember...

Shhh ... don't tell anyone this, but I'm in a regular D&D game, and I meet on Wednesdays. Having said that, I'm not in favor of an online campaign, because half the fun is being there with the people who are playing.

Bullshit.

I play RPGs, and I have PLENTY of sex.

Okay, so that's no big mystery, because I have b00blies, right?

Well, get this. My boyfriend plays RPGs, 40K, and can rattle off the properties of almost any magic card ever released, along with its current value.

He gets plenty of sex, too.

I have a three-ring binder of character sheets, divided by game, subdivided by character. I have extra looseleaf paper in the back that I can remove and place in any given section as notepaper. I have unlined paper so I can doodle and do character sketches for XP. Possibly the geekiest part is that I have one of those slim 3-hole punches that fits inside a looseleaf binder, so that I can take any GM handouts and automatically place them in the binder.

I have also been known to HTMLize a character sheet and keep an updated copy online in case I can't be at a session and the GM needs to refer to my stats to play me as an NPC.

Yes, I'm a geek, but I'm a detail oriented geek. I also take showers.

I can still call you a geek, since you are taken and therefore I can't have you. =)

Feh, female geeks make the impossible possible.

However, I am a geeknerd. I am the ultimate in loser.

Oh, and the reason I want to play is that my friends and I stopped playing D&D a while back. We've been watching movies mostly, lately.

Same here, though I have some exposure to pen-and-paper stuff.

Pen-and-paper can get kind of fun if you can find the people to play it with.

Hmm, did I?... I'm not sure, I'll have to get back to you on that.

Admittedly, "pencil" makes more sense, but it's a little harder to roll "pencil-and-paper RPG" off your tongue.

So you never earn more XP? Your level never goes up? You never get more skill points in something?

You must be a sucky RP'er. :)

You know, I'm one of those old-fashioned people who still thinks that newspapers are a good idea. I like the tactile sense of an old-style pen and paper role playing game. Playing games on a computer is all well and good, 'specially online games on battle.net and the like. However, nothing can hold a candle to getting together with a few close friends, breaking out the gaming supplies, and going to town on it.

Oh, and every time I see the topic of these posts ("strip RPG?") I laugh to myself. Can you imagine playing a game where characters getting damaged meant you had to lose a piece of clothing?
