Apparently Johnny will be moving Low Pass over to a new host in the next week or so, and after this time will be showing more interest in administrating and updating the Strip Creator. This will also involve, according to our brief ICQ exchange, making some of the previously submitted artwork available for use in comics. I am not sure if this means that he will be putting up new artwork as well, but I am now accepting requests for new characters, props, and backgrounds. Things that I have sent him that have not been made available yet include:

Characters: a generic superhero named Captain Low Pass (in full-body format and bust format), and his nemesis Sicko Bunny (also in full-body and bust).

Props: a new version of the microphone with visible feet (for use by characters who _also_ have visible feet), a couple of "actions" (a "boom" cloud, a "fight cloud", a ZAP! shape, and a "rapid exit" dust cloud).

Backgrounds: The splitter (a vertical black bar on a white background, used to split a pnel into two panels with single characters), several versions of a red curtain with a spotlight on it, one with a floor (for characters with feet) and one without.

Anyone who has submitted art that hasn't been included yet should probably mention it in this thread, and anyone who thinks of something else they desperately need in the Strip Creator should mention it, and I will consider drawing it if I find it interesting enough. :)

So I was just wondering how much longer it will be until the new characters arrive. I can hardly wait.

I think some sort of monkey would be a good addition, pirate is easily the first thing I think of when makeing my wish list. Other than a monkey and a pirate how about, some more life in hell akbar and jeff would be funny. This might seem a bit out there but I think it would be awesome if there was a character who was just a big red face.

Johnny (assuming you're reading this), isn't your current host Pair? If you have any interesting opinions on them, I'd be interested to hear them. They're spoken of very highly by pretty much everyone with whom I've talked about them, but the number of times I've heard something like "Pair is so cool, they helped fix my site when it went down even though it wasn't their fault" is kind of eerie.

Also, didn't Gabe draw some pics of pirates and stuff like that a while back? And didn't Big Evil Dan, too? I liked those.

While were dreaming how about a car prop that would be a good one. What about a Mr.T esque charater, I got a million jibber jabber jokes I'm dying to use.

More things you need to do:

1. Show the scores.

2. Make the comics sortable by Total Score, Average Score and Vote Count.

3. Allow people to make comments on individual comics.

4. One word: animation.

5. Two words: Rainbow Brite.

Spankling, you could do a lot of them all by yourself, especially the backgrounds. Find photos online, squish them to the proper dimensions, save them as GIFs, send them to Johnny. Piss-easy.

Oh, and an English Bobby-style policeman and a pirate have both been done.... by Gabe, wasn't it? I am fairly certain Gabe did the funky-coloured dogs, thanks to his colour-blindness.

Oh, and Bunner - how about a Mr. F, similar to Mr T, but with a shaved strip down the middle of his head instead of a mohawk? :)

Sure - I knew that when I made my list. I'll try to get the time and submit.

What we need is not so much a car prop as a background that will let the torso-head characters (like the WIGU ones) look like they are riding in a car.

That would be boss.

Hmmm...let's see... how about some characters that could actually look like they are interacting with other characters, like punching and kicking and whatnot. The current format has serious stalled my kung-fu plans.

pair is the greatest. I'm not actually switching hosts. Just splitting the strip creator off to its own account. pair is totally, utterly and stupidly the best host ever and I cannot recommend them enough and they're not paying me to say this and they probably wouldn't (they're that cool). I've been with several other hosts. pair = best, by far.

Which reminds me - I really must finish those. *blush*

Not to cast aspersions on Johnny, but once he got too busy to do much with Low Pass I got a bit fed up and thought, 'Well, if they will never go online, why bother drawing them?" I will finish them off, though. Anyone who emailed me a picture but hasn't seen a result yet, don't stress - I will get them done in the near future. Anyone hasn't (*ahem* Mr Billings?) please email a head-shot and your preferences for clothing, colouring, and pose to the address in my .sig. Nothing over 100KB, please!

I actually sent him my own drawing. But yours would probably be cooler. Plus it would match the style of everyone else. I'll toss one in the ol' email.

Actually, DrPedantic would point out that you closed the quote, but did not actually open it. Good thing I am not DrPedantic, eh?
