According to Wikipedia, Kwanzaa is a holiday honoring African heritage and culture.
Itis a weeklong celebration (like Channukah) featuring activities like lighting a kinara or candle-holder (also like Channukah),
Pouring libations (booze, like the English tradition of leaving a glass of brandy for Father Christmas), and the final event of a feast with family and friends (like Thanksgiving and Chistmas).
It was created in 1960 to replace Juneteenth, the African-American holiday nationally recognized since Emancipation, in order to "give a Black alternative to the existing holiday...
and give Blacks an opportunity to celebrate themselves and history, rather than simply imitate the practice of the dominant society."
Going on what I've said in the first part of this comic, I fail to see where it fits the justification...

Good points, but they wouldn't let us have "Slap-A-Honky Day."
