"Like the actor?" she said smirking, "No, like me," my fingers working, then her boss yelled at her for shirking, "Orders ready on table thirteen!"

Just I, the lowly filing clerk, used a sick day and called into work, and for awhile I patiently lurked, waiting to talk to Josephine.

Eventually her shift ended, I waited out front and pretended, That our paths had coincided, hoping she wouldn't be mean.
