Once upon a time in about 1325 BC there was a king whose name was minos. He had an architect living in his palace. He also had an inventor named daedelos.

King minos asked daedelos to build a great labyrinth for him, so that he could keep the minotaur in. However, king minos did not want him to know of the secrets in the labyrinth.

So king minos decided to keep daedelos as a prisoner in a tall tower with only his young son, icarus. Daedalos & icarus did not like being prisoners, so daedalos thought about how they could get away
