The Spiderman ending was probably changed out of respect for the parties who are suffering, you wouldn't want to be reminded of that when you go see a kickass movie like Spiderman, now would you?
Seems every site is trickling in condolances in it's own way, even the Church of Satan's site has some stuff on the event, first in condolance, and then in the typical "I told you so" fashion you'd expect from the current people running the site.
