It's a "malt beverage" like Zima. The same goes for "Mike's Hard Lemonade" and the like.

Kinda like a very sweet Colt 45.... but it doesn't come in a 40 oz bottle.

I don't think it's that weak. I mean, it's not Talisker, but I can get a happy buzz on from the 6-pack of the stuff. But I find a scotch hangover much easier on the stomach.

We have cheap shoddy shit like that over here in Oz, made from water, sugar, flavours, and cheap fortified white wine. You can buy cheap nasty copies of most of the popular spirits are liquers, and weaker pre-mixed type things. On the other hand, you can get good quality pre-mixed drinks as well. Stolichnya Lemon Russkis are very popular over here, but they are actually in the cheap and nasty bracket. I know from experience that they are very nasty on your stomach. I drank six and fell asleep once, and two years later I still get occasional heartburn which I attrobute to that night... it was like having a chest full of lava... Then there are nicer ones like Smirnoff Baltiks, which are just grapefruit juice, water, sugar, and vodka. The various whiskeys (including scotch and bourbon) pre-mixed with cola and other things are prety good, too.

Calling them weak is not very accurate, though, at least over here. Most of them have an alcoholic content of between 6% and 8% by volume, compared to beer's 4.2% or so.

Maybe the definition of "vodka" is looser over there, what with our American regulations.
