I don't care when the last time the Sox won a playoff game. I'm still a loyal fan of the Southside hitmen, who have the gayest owner in baseball that all Sox fans hate. They tore down old comiskey because old comiskey sucked. It had pillars in the middle of the seats, ChiSox fans needed something new to turn their attention away from their teams suckiness.

I had the liberty to go to Arizona this year to watch the Diamondbacks. If there are any REAL baseball fans here, and they walked into Bank One Ballpark, they would shoot the man who designed it. Sushi Stands, Jewelry Kiosks, a fancy restaurant, chinese food. Everything un-baseball is in this gawdy (but pretty cool) baseball stadium. I think baseball is getting away from its true roots, which is why I like Wrigley field. I think Football is starting to come away from what it was back in the day, what with over paid prima-donnas and mass commercial advertising (mostly focused on one player)

So how bout them Maple Leafs?

Cubs sign catcher Henry Blanco to a 2 year deal. This is a minor move, however, with Paul Bako departing Maddux needs a new catcher and I suppose that will be Blanco's purpose on the roster. The Cubs also offered Arbitration to Todd Hollandsworth. I'd like to see Hollandsworth come back he's an entertaining pinch hitter and an average guy to throw in to rest people. He also has great hair!

Blanco was Maddux's catcher in Atlanta for a couple years. He's pretty good defensively, too bad it's offset by a Mendoza-like BA. Yuck.

Het set a career highs in HR RBI and Games played last year. However it was 114 games, 10 HR's, and 37 RBIs. Thise are Paul Bako like numbers. It's good to let Barrett get a day off here and there. I'm not excited but I understand what they're going for.

Blanco was an ok fill-in after Mauer got hurt for my beloved Twins last year, but I don't know if he's worth $2.7 mil over two years.

By the way...good luck this weekend in FF, crabby.

I've hated them since Charles Martin threw a cheap shot on Jim McMahon that ruined the rest of the Bears 86 season. I was 3, I remember watching that game with my whole family. It was a cheap shot. It was on purpose. He took pride in cheating to end McMahons season. I will always hate the Packers, I will always hate their cheese head fans. I don't envy them at all. I feel sorry that they have to live in the shit hole that is Wisconsin.

Jeez, crabby is an understatement. I'm impressed with your 3 year old ability to comprehend the game at such a deep level. I was 19 when I saw that game and yea, it was bad but I've got to say that seems like a crappy reason to hold a lifelong grudge. The Packers are among the most honorable teams in professional sports and we're proud of that. McMahon sure did turn out to be an ass in the long run though didn't he? I enjoy visiting WI now and then but had to get away to New York City, never did enjoy Chicago much.

Exactly, the Packers are an honorable team. They don't beat the shit out of teams like the Eagles do. If you saw the game, you'd see that fat ass Andy Reid was still instructing McNabb to pass in the 4th quarter. Packers fans love their team like they own them, and you know what? MOST OF THEM DO! That's right, the Green Bay Packers, ever since the team's conception in approx. 1921, people were able to buy STOCK in the Packers (then at 5 dollars a share) to support their team. It was through the support of their fans that the Packers were able to succeed in the smallest town in the NFL (approx 73,000 people). And how dare you insult Favre when the Bears can bearly hold on to a quarterback for a fucking season? How many have they gone through now? Wasn't Rex Grossman supposed the be the solution to all their problems? What happened to him?

I won't badmouth the Eagles because they've proven they're as good as their hype says. The Pack looked like a bunch of schoolgirls in week 13 but The Pack has shown that they mean business in the playoffs and any team that underestimates them is foolish.
