You know, I'm pretty pissed at Hunter for going and killing himself... all it's doing is making those douchewhores at Newsweek write shit like, "Well, it's no suprise he killed himself! HE WAS A HIPPIE!" How fucking shitty is that? GOD! CHRIST! GOD-JESUS!

For those who read, his Hells Angels stuff was pretty good. And the BOOK Fear and Loathing was far better than the movie.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was a great book and a great movie. Different, both, but still great.

I hate how the mainstream media is fawning over him now that he's dead, but of course when he was alive they called him a junkie and a degenerate. HST rallied against the same ignorant, conformist fuckwads who are now shedding crocodile tears over his death.

Perhaps some of you can tell I have a much different personality after getting spending most of my time out of the house, getting a paycheck and being on the road to get the fuck out. It'll be another year or two before I've escaped, but rest assured I still have the morals I used to, just more of the wisdom I didn't. I like to poke around here every now and again because I smell good posts.

1. Yes I was. You may discover people doing this with a satirical air from time to time as you progress through life.

2. What you've done is taken my personal opinion and identified it with a stereotype based on what my reputation is. Even if my statements resemble some kind of generalization that the right wing might make, I do not represent the right wing or stand for it merely because I possibly sound like it. Disregarding my political views and retaining my literary tastes and opinions on personal character, Thompson was a fruitcake. A popular, somewhat talented fruitcake, but a fruitcake none the less.

Hunter S. Thompson was no less of a fruitcake than anyone else with an intellect that far surpasses the average man. He realized that working day in and day out at a shitty job just to make ends meet was soul-death. Those of us with that level of intellect realize the same things, but the stronger (or weaker?) of that group of us realize that there's nothing much to be done about it. Hunter S. Thompson carved out a fucking UNIQUE existence in a world that thrives on mundanity. For this I will always and truly be grateful beyond words.
