I've heard the 360 shares many of the same features as the original X-box. While the games do look cool, I'd like to know the advantages of red ray over blu-ray scanning. I'm not so sure that the higher end games will run on the 360 without massive amounts of loading. The Call of Duty sequal looks spectacular, but I'm still not sold...

I'll just have to wait for the PS3, because only then will I be able to determine how well the streaming goes with blu-ray. And how the next Final Fantasy Sequal will look on it, call me a sweaty grease covered nerd.

Also, I wonder how the game selection will pan out. Will the 360 be a genre console like the X-box? The nintendo is out based on it's vibro-pleasure controller, I don't care how compatible with my ass it is.

360 games just look like really nice X-Box games. I was playing Need for Speed and Condemned at some dude's house last weekend and he was defending the graphics by saying it looks better on HD tv. I don't care... it can only make so much difference. Having HD shouldn't be a prerequisite for the 360 looking ill. This is supposed to be next-generation and instead it looks like a baby step up. Hardly worth 400 bones plus money for games.

I did play Call of Duty 2 in EB today, and enjoyed it a lot. That's not to say it's worth getting a 360 for. While it was better than the other games I had played, I still don't think it's a bonifide "next generation" game. If I had seen the same visuals on X-Box I don't think I would have blinked an eye.
