They love Penny Arcade and letting everyone know how big of a nerd they are.

I never said I wasn't a nerd. Though I prefer my games to look as little like real life as possible. None of this 3D, panoramic, superpixellated environment for me. I prefer stick figures like Kingdom of Loathing or grayscale boxes like my GameBoy Tetris. And that's about all I play these days. Sometimes I play Ocean Bound, which is a cheesy, simple game that's so simple an 8 year old can do it, but I haven't played it in over a year.

Oh wait, technically I'm not really an RPG nerd then (though I do find Penny Arcade funny most of the time).

I only play sports games. I have no time for a meaningless 95 hour quest as a Deominc Priest.

some RPGs are ok : Squaresoft hasn't done me wrong yet... with the obvious exception of FFX-2...

i love KOTOR and many others of the genre, but Elder Scrolls has always seemed to me WAY too open-ended and way too detail-oriented. This tends to make you lose out on the ever-important STORY part of the game.

The last RPG type game I played was Fable. Before that I got both of the Star Wars RPG's for X-Box. Then I swore I would never buy another because I just get bored after awhile.

FF7 FOR LIFE!

The only game i play now is Blitz, and the occasional bouts of starwars battlefront 2. There hasn't been a good RPG since FF7, so I stopped playing RPG's. Like Crabby i'm not interested in the 85 hour quest for the evil wizard.

I'm also not interested in this whole new "HOLY SHIT YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO GO STRAIGHT TO THE WIZARD YOU CAN JUST WALK AROUND AND GET A JOB AS A BUTCHER! POMG!!!!" Type of games, cause that shit is lame.

It's the type of game that gives you the oppurtunity to waste upwards of hundred's of hours of play. It's like a Sims RPG or something retarded like that.

All it's missing is the ability to challenge members of the SC community in a fight to the death.

I actually enjoyed Oblivion. Japanese RPGs are boring as all hell, and so are linear ones. Then again, I'm mostly a FPS player, so I like shooting things.

I think your personal life will directly contribute to which games you play. If you enjoy watching sports you'll like sports games. If you like solving puzzles you'll play puzzle games, if you're a fucking nerd with no life you'll play RPG. It's just a fact.

I never said I was more of a man for playing football games. I like sports games cause you can pick them up and play and not have to worry about any story. And I like sports. Do associate liking sports with being manly? Id it because all those jocks beat you up in high school and refused to believe your warlock powers?

I even went so far as to mention the RPG's I played. Newer RPG's which were totally open ended. And for the record I loved Sword of Vermillion. If anything makes me manly its the fact that I love sword of vermillion so much.
