And one of our current regulars recently won a contest with his very first post as a newbie... what a way to make an entrance.

Aye. Well, I did the military part... and following the law of numbers the style of my comic has to match somebody elses on here.

I still won't win, though. It doesn't have the red ass-raping 'bot.

As for me, the third strip in the "Self-Aware" series was missing a military reference, but I'm hoping that it just counts as part of the greater whole. Or not at all, since the first two in the series stand up pretty well on their own, anyway.

It's time for our newest feature: Andy's Review Corner! Today's film: Captain Corelli's Mandolin. Right! In this film, Nicolas Cage manages to look bigger and dumber than usual as he lumbers across a small Greek Island circa 1940. We're led to believe that this soldier in Mussolini's army commands a cadre of cuddly, harmless minstrels. But in reality, Cage's phony accent and stilted performance waged a cruel and relentless assault on my ability to stay awake. I see. But what I think our readers would really like to know is -- did you enjoy the film? Oh that -- loved it! Hey, you think that line about Cage's performance was cutting enough?

Tried to bum a cigarette, too - "Can I have a cig, Mark?" I just threw a towel at him. So... Johnny Dupp's ill on Oprah? Depp, not "Dupp". Do you find that the chiming of the bell at the asylum wakes you up? I'm always, "Oh, me Gaahhhd... what time is it?"

If you don't know whose style that second one is in, you need to read up on some SC.com history. Oops, forgot the CC74 on that one... oh well. That kaufman one really hurt my brain.
