That was a random thug. A stupid one too. Two reasons:

1. Why the hell would you carry off a bank heist like that knowing Superman is back in town.

Movie is disappointing
‘Superman Returns” is now playing locally, and I must say the newest movie incarnation is very disappointing. For entertainment and special effects, it is a well-crafted and exciting film, but the morality stinks. Superman returns to Earth after a five-year absence to find that Lois Lane has moved in with her “fiancé” and 5-year-old son.
Next, Daily Planet editor Perry White orders his news staff to cover the story of Superman’s return—“You know, the truth, justice and all that stuff.” Whoa! What happened to “the American way”? Well, to market this film internationally, the producers decided it best to not Americanize Superman, but rather have him a global hero.
Thus, a fictional but uniquely American hero with an international reputation for more than 70 years as a defender of truth, justice and the American way now stands simply for truth and justice—while fathering a child out of wedlock. Lois’ child is not her present live-in’s son after all.
The unmarried union between Lois and her human boyfriend and the illegitimate sex between Lois and Superman resulting in a child are normal adult behavior in the movie. Superman, does the world really need another hero with feet of clay?

And hey, wasn't that "American Way" junk tacked on when the first television series began, in order to make sure Ward and June Cleaver didn't mistake Supes for a Communist? It isn't original to the character (who was from another friggin' planet if I remember), so who cares if it ain't in the film. I'll bet this disckhead gets his undies in a bunch over the idea that some people are trying to take "under God" out of the pledge of alliegence too, when (again) it was never originally in there to begin with.

Fuck this guy, man. No seriously -- somebody please fuck him. He desperately needs it.

Yes, but this Superman is supposed to be based on the Christopher Reeve character and he specifically told Lois that he was defending "truth, justice, and the American way." If you don't take that into consideration, then you're just wandering around in a thick, impenetrable fog.
