That's just another bad Asia album. The "Then" stuff was good, but the "Now" stuff wasn't. At this point, Asia was being directed mainly by Geoff Downes and John Wetton. Steve Howe had left, and Carl Palmer wasn't involved in the songwriting. Unfortunately for Asia, Howe and Palmer had the strongest creds in progressive rock, Wetton, despite his time with King Crimson and UK, was trying to move in a more pop direction, and Downes, despite his time with Yes, began his career with the Buggles, the new wave group responsible for the first video on MTV. Fortunately, this low point in Asia's history ended when John Payne replaced John Wetton. Starting with Aqua, Asia got on track and started putting out one good album after another. Anyway, liking bad albums doesn't make anyone gay, and an Asia fan may like Asia only for its best work, not necessarily for its whole ouvre.
