I've heard a lot of "I might come", but with only three confirmations, maybe it's not a good idea to book this. I really didn't want Blair to go to Chicago for nothing, so I was still planning on going, plus there's always the off chance of last minute strippers.

Blair, I think the ball's in your court on this one, since you're traveling the farthest. Scy and I are both willing to drive out to meet with you, but are you interested in two St. Louisans?

I apologize for my non-involvement. I had planned to come, but I just found out my wife's pregnant again, and it would be a crummy thing to leave her alone for a whole weekend with a crazy toddler right at the end of her first trimester. So I'll have to wait until next time.

I found out last week that a good friend of mine from Atlanta is going to Chicago the very same weekend, so we were going to book the same flight.  That way, we could hang out together in Chi-town Friday afternoon until it was time to go to our respective functions.   I told her I needed to check here and make sure that I still had a reason for going, but she wants to go ahead and book the flight now.

Honestly, Chicago is probably my favorite of all the cities that I've ever visited.  Even if nobody shows up, I can find plenty to do on my own (I've been craving that deep dish pizza for far too long).  But if I have two super-cool St. Louisans joining me, well then that will make it all the better.  And, like you said, there's always the chance for last-minute folks.

Basically what I'm saying is that I wouldn't feel that I wasted my time or money by taking this trip.  If you're game, so am I.

I would come, but after my last two visits to Chicago and making an enemy of the whole city by not being impressed at the Sears tower, not wanting to eat their damned pizza, and trying to bomb their convoluted highways with no signs to tell you where to exit, I'm not welcome there.

Besides, I already have plans in Denver.

i would like to attend, but i've already taken a week off in march to go to jamaica. more time off just isn't possible.

I want to go sit at a table beside the beginners' dance floor, affect an extremely British accent, keep yelling out "Rubbish!", and hold up one of those little paddles with a very low score on it.

It would only work if I had another guy sitting to my left affecting an extremely Italian accent yelling out "Superrrrbo!" and holding up a high score.  And a sexy asian woman sitting to my right showing lots of cleavage and wiggling her ass all the time.

Of course, I'll settle for just the Asian woman.

I've heard -- unofficially, that choadwarrior is not coming, and chances are slim that chicka will be able to make it.  So, in order to save jes_lawson (the only other one I know of who's signed up) from spending rediculous amounts of time and money to have a romantic weekend with me alone, I'm going to suggest we we call this off.

I'd answer that if I knew anything about it. All I ever see are ads for Asheville, Hot Springs Village, and West Virginia. I never even knew Wyoming had ads.

But I suspect that the tourism board was fighting with everyone else in the state about advertising that Wyoming is a nice place to be, so they compromised by showing ads at a time when few people would see it. We don't want people to come here unless they spend money and leave soon after.
