Vick will be cut from the Falcons' roster as sure as sunrise. The reason they haven't done it yet is that keeping him on, on paper, is the only way they can go after $22 million worth of signing bonuses they paid him. The franchise needs that money back or else a lot of people's careers basically go into the toilet.
The Falcons want no part of Michael Vick. They just need some of that $22 mil back. As it is, they've pinned much of their hopes on one guy who turned out to be a criminal, and they are taking a huge beating on it. The fortunes of many human beings were riding on Vick's shoulders. That's what they paid him all that money for. And he screwed them all.
Vick won't play in the NFL again. Imagine trying to sell Vick jerseys. He will never get another dollar of endorsement money because no corporation will touch him again, ever. No player or manager will trust him or stand behind him after he singlehandedly tanked the Falcons. No one who matters will forget this in Vick's lifetime-- not one player, manager, sponsor, or fan. Don't anyone worry. Vick is hosed.
