Or Aunt Bee, figuring that she was a better shot than Barney, could grab the gun and fire, little realizing that it had rusted up from lack of use, and it would blow up in her hand. This, plus the blood gushing from her stump, would just make the Wolf Man more agitated and he would tear her apart. A news crew from Mt. Pilot would capture the grisly scene on film and replay it over and over in slow motion. The next day, the Wolf Man would be the guest of honor in the Mayberry Founders Day parade, but they would have to have it at night so he could still be the Wolf Man.
