Though it wasn't a surprise, Fahrenheit 911, Michael Moore's latest (and currently unpublished) film, took the Palme D'or at the 57th Cannes Film Festival this year. I am *so* elated. This means that not only will F911 get Stateside release, but that it will get *huge* stateside release. Moore said at his acceptance, "If I accomplish only one thing this year, I hope that it would be to make sure that all those who die and have died in Iraq this year have not died in vain."
Also, I'm glad that "Ol Boy," a great Korean film took the Grand Prix. I reccomend that folks try to find it.
