How are you doing? Hope you are doing fine.

I am just wondering, if I could use your software to create a comic strip and publish it on my school newspaper. Would that be illegall or will that deal with copyright issues. I didn’t want to do anything such things that will break the law. Therefore I want to ask you first before doing anything. I am just gonna use your software with the characters to help me to create a comic, but the idea on the story would be my very own. I am truly interested in creating comics but I am very bad in drawing, I just could not draw, and this really bring a huge effect on my imagination.

Hope that I would get a positive response.

That's a good question, actually. I am sure you can take a screenshot, cut and paste, and print it out. Publication, though, may be at brad's discretion.

how can i contact brad, been tyring to mail him several times, but not seems to be available.i can only proceed with my comic submission to the school newspaper if he says that i can publish the comic in printed material.

The artwork was contributed by various different artists, so it's really more of a question you'd need to ask them.

And I would venture to assume that which artists you contact are definitely going to depend on which characters you use in the comic.

Make the comic first, then try contacting the person who created the character art. Kaddar is an SC member, and you may be able to email him. Most of the others have their own websites and webcomics.

I think Kaddar and DexX both have said they're cool with people doing whatever they want with their art. I should really put something in the FAQ about this but I don't really have a good answer.

For what it's worth, Cop and Rocker from the Submitted directory are in the public domain. Disney offered me 4.7 gazillion dollars to use them in the computer animated spectacular: "Blackie's Backstage Bust", but I turned it down on principle.

Just how the hell does anybody enforce a copyright on something they've freely distributed over a vast computer network pipelined into an incalculable number of strangers' homes anyhoo? Does that actually work?

I think "Three Reasons" are also public domain, aren't they?

threereasons should be fine too, I think. So kaddar, kaddar2, dexx, forumusers and pretty much all of the ones in submitted should be fine I think.
