People back home often ask me what the worst part of being deployed is. I tell them that it's not the lack of sex or alcohol, because I often lack both while at home... It's the fact that at home I can still get either one if I really want them.

We found out that right before we arrived in country there was a big protitution ring that got busted here on base. And I could have been here early if I'd volunteered. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

Our replacements are here even though we still have more than a month left in country. If they can catch on quick enough, we get shorter hours. Except that mine isn't that bright and my job is moderately complicated. :'(

This one brings to life a running gag in the office here. I can't tell you what DTAS is or what it does or anything, but needless to say everyone always assumes it doesn't work even though they know nothing about it.
