Okay, it's time for this contest to begin. The feature shared by all my favorite strips is the use of talking animals. This ranges from Monty, which has a talking parrot as a little-used supporting character, to Pogo, which has a world fully populated with all kinds of talking animals. In between there are strips about animals with human companions (such as Non Sequitur or Calvin and Hobbes) and communities of animals that mix with a human world (such as Pearls Before Swine). So here are the rules of this contest:
1. Use talking animals, not merely thinking animals like Garfield or Snoopy, but animals that speak and are understood when they talk.
2. Make some common characteristics of the animal part of the animal's personality.
3. No beastiality.
I'll be back in about an hour to judge this contest.
